Magical 8bit Plug : a free VST synth emulating 8bit consoles soundchips


Hi everybody ! This is the first day of the first thematic week on vst4free : Lo-fi week !
Today I'll review a great-great little plugin runing both on Windows and MacOS, that reproduces the sound of old school 8 bit consoles soundchips (like the NES).
It's named "Magical 8bit Plug", and god it rocks !

First of all, Magical 8bit Plug is not a samples player, but a true synth.
It offers 5 different waveforms (square, pulse(2 kinds), pseudo-triangle, low-resolution noise), a classical ADSR enveloppe, has Pitch bed and velocity support, and 32 voices of polyphony.
With this tool you'll be able to reproduce the spiting drums and the hissing hats, the sweeping leads and the belly bells of your childhood !

Magical 8bit Plug is very easy to use, and is by the way a good introduction to synthesis for the novices, as working with a simple synth on elementary waveforms makes you understand better how it works ;)

Tout d'abord, Magical 8bit Plug n'est pas un lecteur de samples, mais un vrai synthétiseur.

Avec ce plugin, vous pourrez reproduire les rythmiques crachouillantes, les nappes fantomatiques et les cloches de synthèse de votre enfance !

Magical 8 bit Plug est très simple d'emploi, et constitue en celà une excellente introduction à la synthèse pour les novice, car utiliser un synthé "basique" avec des formes d'ondes élémentaires permet de mieux cerner sont fonctionnement ;)
